Frequently Asked Questions

Chiropractors are health care professionals focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neuromusculoskeletal disorders (think muscles, bones and integrated movements). The emphasis in therapy is through manual therapy, including manipulations (adjustments), soft tissue work, exercise prescription, injury prevention. Chiropractors work with general health challenges, sports, work and auto injuries and some movement disorders.

No! All of our practitioners can see you without a doctors note.  In fact Chiropractors are primary care practitioners and we can see you for work injuries, motor vehicle injuries and sports injuries and direct your care with you.  Some insurance policies may require a physicians note for reimbursement for massage therapy.

We ask that you wear comfortable and non-restrictive clothing which can include shorts, leggings, joggers, active wear, etc...


If you need to change upon arrival, a room will be provided in order to do so!

  • Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history.
  • Any copies of X-rays, MRI, doctor’s notes, and additional information relating to your injury or condition is useful.
  • If applicable, please bring a list of medication and supplements that you have been taking recently or those you are currently taking.
  • Bring clothing that you feel comfortable moving in, such as athletic wear, shorts and t-shirts or a tank top.
  • We also suggest if you have any questions to prepare these in advance to ensure that we are able to answer all of your concerns.

Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your condition, your past medical history, and other factors.


Re-evaluations will be done at every appointment to assess your progress and your practitioner will continually communicate with you and your health care team to help you achieve your therapy goals.


We determine your treatment length based on various questions including: What is the problem? What is missing from your life today that you would like to do again? What is your level of commitment to your own care? How long have you had your problem? When do you consider yourself "healed?" Are you healed when it doesn't hurt anymore, or when you are engaging in all of your activities?


We want to see you engaging in your life as soon as possible in as short of time as possible.

At HALO our chiropractic services can include shockwave, ultrasound, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, low level laser therapy, and active release technique.*


Our massage therapy services can include hot stone massage, cupping, reiki, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and general relaxation

First Missed Appointment: No Charge – Life happens, we get it!

Second Missed Appointment: 30% Charge of Appointment Fee

Third Missed Appointment: Full Appointment Fee

Cancel by either calling our clinic or sending us an email within 24 hours’ notice to avoid cancellation fees

We recommend that you first confirm that your insurance covers the service you are coming in for (chiropractic care or massage therapy). We are able to direct bill to various insurance companies, if you are unsure if we are able to direct bill for your appointment, please give us a call or send us an email to confirm prior to your appointment.


In the case that your insurance does not cover your full appointment cost, you are expected to pay the remaining balance at the time of your appointment.
